On Church Leadership (A Book You’ll Actually Read)
On Church Leadership (A Book You’ll Actually Read)
by Mark Driscoll
On Church Leadership is extraordinarily helpful, concise, inevitably humorous, Biblical and practical, handling such themes as the essential shepherding authority of Jesus over his whole church, the place of eldership, the subject of women in ministry, which is handled brilliantly and graciously, deacons, a subject we in Newfrontiers need to take more seriously, and indeed the important place of every church member, particularly seen against the backdrop of non-members who also hopefully crowd into our churches!
His chapter on leadership teams is also very helpful as it handles issues of change in leadership teams that become necessary as churches grow in size.
Deliberately written as a small accessible book, I think it will live up to its title and be ‘a book you’ll actually read’. If you do so you will be stimulated, provoked and genuinely helped.
